DAaCRO is a contract research organisation founded by Juliane Hellhammer in 2006 as a spin-off of the University of Trier, Department  for Psychobiology. DAaCRO specialises on conducting clinical trials with the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST) and psychoneuroendocrine reactivity in humans. The TSST was published in 1993 by Kirschbaum, Pirke & Hellhammer and is regarded as the gold standard for laboratory stress tests in humans involving a reaction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal-axis (HPAA).
